If you're new to importing, the shorthand suppliers use — MOQ, FOB, EXW, CIF — can obscure more than it explains. Here's what each term actually means for your order.

MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)

The smallest quantity a supplier will produce or sell per SKU. Many established factories default to MOQs in the thousands; newer or more flexible suppliers may offer 50–100 pcs per SKU specifically to support pilot orders. Always ask whether MOQ applies per SKU or across a whole order — the difference matters a lot for a multi-product range.

Incoterms: EXW, FOB, CIF
